Local Business, Community Leaders Participate in the Annual Mini-Golf Tournament Presented by the Pioneer Charitable Foundation

Capital Region business and community leaders will tee it up this week in one of the area’s most unique charity events: the Pioneer Charitable Foundation’s annual Mini-Golf Tournament, which will raise more than $7,000 to support local children in need.

The event will be held on Thursday, June 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pirate’s Hideout, 175 Guideboard Road in Waterford.    To register a corporate team go to Mini Golf Tournament | Pioneer Charitable Foundation | Pioneer (pioneerny.com)

Supporting the foundation’s mission of “Helping Kids be Kids,” all money raised will support local nonprofits that provide children with housing, proper nutrition, and health care, as well as educational, social and recreational opportunities.

Since 2019, the tournament has raised over $20,000 to help vulnerable children in the Capital Region. Meanwhile, in the five years since it was founded, the Pioneer Charitable Foundation has donated more than $1.6 million and over 16,000 employee volunteer hours to support more than 400 area nonprofits, as outlined in its just-released Community Impact Report.

The event will provide excellent photo/video and interview opportunities in a fun setting. Reporters, photographers and videographers are welcome to attend.
