Pioneer Unveils Remodeled Branches in Cairo and Greenville, Deepens Commitment to Customers in New York’s Hudson Valley

Pioneer Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: PBFS) (“Pioneer”), a leading financial institution in New York’s Capital Region, today unveiled remodeled branch locations in Cairo and Greenville, New York, an investment that further demonstrates its commitment to serving the financial needs of individuals, families and businesses in New York’s Hudson Valley region.

During Customer Appreciation Day open houses held at each location – 440 Main Street in Cairo and 11565 NY-32 in Greenville – Pioneer celebrated the completion of extensive renovations at both branches. The installation of new furniture, flooring, paint, signage, and improvements to employee areas represents an investment of more than $130,000, and together with last summer’s acquisition of wealth management firm Hudson Financial, underscores Pioneer’s intent to grow its presence and impact in the southern part of its footprint.

“We’re proud to be growing in New York’s Hudson Valley, and thrilled to welcome both current and prospective customers to our newly remodeled branches in Cairo and Greenville,” said Tom Amell, President and CEO of Pioneer. “Our investment in these locations illustrates Pioneer’s commitment to providing modern and welcoming environments, supported by the expertise of an exceptional staff and an unmatched menu of products and services, to help families and businesses achieve their financial goals.”

In addition to the branch investments, Pioneer has a long history of providing significant community support and service in the region. The Cairo branch sponsors a Bear every year for the Cairo Bears Community Art Project, participates in Catskill’s annual Festival of Trees, and assists with the Farrell School of Irish Dance, local children’s fishing events, little league and the Solace House. The Greenville branch participates in the annual Trunk or Treat organized by Rotary of Greenville. Pioneer employees also volunteered to perform landscaping and maintenance work at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Cairo during the company’s All Together Forward Week in 2023.

The open house celebrations included a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Cairo branch in partnership with the Greene County Chamber of Commerce, and food at the Greenville branch was provided by a local business, Roxy’s Food Truck and Catering of Greenville.

“We are thrilled to see Pioneer investing in the renovation of their Cairo and Greenville branches, and we’re honored to participate in the unveiling,” said Pamela Geskie, President and Executive Director of the Greene County Chamber of Commerce. “As Main Street continues to develop and thrive, the refresh reflects positively on our vibrant business community and sets a great example.”

The Cairo branch, led by Branch Manager Connie Falco, is open Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. It can be reached at (518) 622-3632.
