Request for Proposal (RFP)

To whom it may concern, This letter is a Request for Proposal (RFP) to complete basement renovations and other work on the premises of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 49 Killean Park, Colonie.

We’re looking for a full-service contractor who can complete all phases of the project or act as general contractor to manage subcontractor(s) under one contract.

THE FOLLOWING SERVICES ARE REQUESTED:

• Removal and storage of furniture and other contents during renovations

• Asbestos abatement (asbestos has been confirmed; see attached reports)

• Mold remediation in basement and attic areas (per recent inspection; see attached reports)

• Install new flooring (approximately 2.86k square feet, 13 rooms).

• Drywall replacement as required, and painting of basement walls (about 7.95k sq ft.

FEE ESTIMATE ASSUMPTIONS:

• Target completion date: March 15, 2024

• All common installation tooling will be provided by the selected vendor

• Proposals should be submitted as Fixed Price per Unit based on the scope requirements above

• Out-of-scope work will be charged as Time and Material consistent with signed amendments between St. Michael’s designated representative and selected vendor

SUBMISSION AND SELECTION:

The selection schedule is as follows:

• Notice of selection................................................................. December 1, 2023

• Complete contract................................................................December 15, 2023

• Inspection report dated July 18, 2024, recommending mold remediation

• Insurance appraiser’s report dated September 12, 2023 [amended report pending], reflecting post-flood basement renovation tasks

• Asbestos inspection report dated October 3, 2023
